Mr Buckingham began training as a 12 year old at Stonehenge Taekwon-Do under Mr Raymond O’Neill V Dan in 1991, and his first grading was on his 13th birthday. Having achieved 2nd Kup (Red Belt) under Master Rhee, Ki Ha, Mr Buckingham moved away from the area, and after a break from training returned to Taekwon-Do in 2004. Mr Buckingham settled in Essex and joined the Braintree Taekwon-Do school under Mr Thorne I Dan, where he achieved his Black Belt and became an instructor.
In September 2012 Mr Buckingham, then a II Dan, founded Olympus Taekwon-Do in Halstead, Essex, with the support and guidance of his childhood instructor, now Senior Master O’Neill VIII Dan.
On 01 February 2013 Braintree and Halstead merged under the Olympus Taekwon-Do brand.
On 01 March 2014 Mr Buckingham successfully graded to III Dan under Grand Master Paul Cutler IX Dan

Mr Bragger joined Braintree Taekwon-Do under Mr Thorne and rose through the grades to achieve his Black Belt in 2011. He is a qualified ‘C’ Class National Instructor with ACE Taekwon-Do.
Mr Poulimenos is our most senior Colour Belt, and qualified as an instructor. He began Taekwon-Do in Braintree under Mr Thorne, and has risen to 1st Kup. Mr Poulimenos is currently working towards his grading for I Degree Black Belt.
Mr Poulimenos is one of our most senior Colour Belts, and qualified as an instructor. He began Taekwon-Do with UKITF, where he graded to 1st Kup. Mr Crane is currently working towards his grading for I Degree Black Belt.
Nick is our most senior Junior Colour Belts, and is qualified as an Junior instructor. This means that Nick’s skills and abilities in Taekwon-Do, and his knowledge and understanding of the Art are such that he can support an Adult instructor during class by teaching under supervision. He began Taekwon-Do with Braintree Taekwon-Do, where he graded to 1st Kup. Nick is currently working towards his grading for I Degree Black Belt.
